Syncing Arrows forms directly to HubSpot properties

A guide for syncing your Arrows forms to HubSpot properties so that form answers get passed directly to the HubSpot object the plan is tied associated with.

Using the Arrows Form task action is a great way to capture information from your plan participants throughout the onboarding or implementation process.

The answers to any forms will live inside of the submissions drawer inside of your plan.

These forms can also be set up to directly sync to a HubSpot property to make sure all important answers are saved in your CRM, saving your team time on manual effort and avoiding another data-silo.

Let’s walk through a basic setup!

Select the form task action

When creating a new task, select the Form task action

Once you create a form, you can use the pencil icon to finish the setup.

You can also use the + Add another button to add more than one input field.

Setting up your form

💘
It’s helpful to create a custom property on the HubSpot side ahead of time IF you are wanting the answers to push through to that property.

To set up the form, you’ll want to…

  1. give the form a label
  1. select the field type for Ticket or Deal property to sync answers
  1. select the property you wish to sync answers into
  1. you’ll notice we auto-detect the property type and options, confirm this is the right property
  1. save your setup

View the form task

Once you have configured the form, you can jump to view mode to get a sense for how your form will look to customers.

As far as your customers are concerned, the form will look and feel the same - but behind the scenes, the answers are also being sent directly to HubSpot.

Watch the magic happen

When the form gets submitted, the answers will get sent to that respective property on the HubSpot onboarding object the plan is associated with.

In this example, the submissions for User data and Payroll data (on the left) can be seen in the HubSpot record for that plan (on the right).

If you or a customer update the form in Arrows - that will also update the property on the HubSpot side, making sure you and your teams are kept up to date!
