Custom app domains

A guide for setting up your Arrows custom app domain

The main URL/domain to the Arrows app can be whitelabeled to be customized for your own brand!

Whitelabeling this domain means your customers will be able to access their onboarding plans or sales rooms by visiting your custom domain (instead of www.app.arrows.to).

And your team will be able to access your Arrows account through that same custom domain.

This makes it an extension of your business and brand instead of mentioning “Arrows”

💡

Custom domains require changing your DNS settings. You might need someone from your IT department to help with this setup.

As an Arrows admin, you can follow the below steps and share the DNS record information with your IT team to complete the setup.

IF your IT team wants to complete the setup themselves, you (or your Arrows admin) can add and give them admin permissions here - https://app.arrows.to/team

Adding the custom app domain

From this page, you can add a custom Hostname under the Custom app domain section.

For example, if you are main website is www.acme.com and you are using Arrows for onboarding - you might use something like www.onboarding.acme.com as your Arrows app domain.

In that case, you’d add “onboarding.acme.com” as your Hostname and click Create

If you are using Arrows for both sales rooms and onboarding plans, you might want to make this a bit more general.

Adding DNS records to your domain

The type for the DNS record you’ll need to add to your domain is CNAME

You’ll need to add the Hostname and the value provided on this page to your domain or website registrar.

Once you have done so, click Verify domain on this page

It can take up to 48 hours for some DNS record changes to take effect.

Verified domain

Once your domain is setup and verified, you’ll see your verified domain when you are back on the Arrows custom domain settings page.

This means your custom domain is live and your team and customers can access Arrows through that custom URL!
